A Night with The Akatsuki Leader

"alright." She answered as she removed her hand. She then laid back down and turned over to face the opposite direction and looked at the wall. She decided she would keep the fact that Kyuubi had escaped away from her clan as much as she could. There was no need in getting her clan involved in the fighting and searching. She curled up slightly, it was beginning to get chilly.

He rolled to face her and put his arm around her when he saw her shiver. Not as a flirtatious move, but more in a friendly way. "Cold?" He whispered in her ear after moving close enough to put his arm over her.

She blushed and fought back a smile. "Slightly.." she answered in a whisper. Trying her best not to look over her shoulder at him, if she did their faces would probably closer then when he tripped earlier in the Forrest. She blushed slightly more thinking about it. She also kept looking towards the wall to try to hide the fact that she was blushing.

He didnt stir, he wanted her to think he was asleep so she would go to sleep as well. No idea how that would work but hopefully it did. His breathing was steady as he argued within his own mind. WHY WOULD YOU SHOW HER? SHES AKATSUKI! he pushed the thoughts out of his mind.

She closed her eyes, but she wasn't asleep. She was replaying the day in her head, from the time she first saw Zakku. He was right, he was different. But questions spun webs in her mind. Slowly she got lost within those questions as she slowly fell asleep.

He felt her lose consciousness and stands up going to the window. He sat there all night staring and contemplating whether she could be trusted. She was akatsuki but she was also different. She was no where near the same as the others. He watched the sunrise and loked to see if she would wake up. Going a day with no sleep was not a big deal to him, he did it alot.

Suddenly she rolled to her back and stretched before she sat up and rubbed her eyes. Slowly she opened them, the first thing she saw was Zakku by the window looking at her. "Morning." She yawned slightly. She was contemplating whether to stand or not.

"Morning" He said back softly. His voice did not make him sound tired, nor did he feel it. He was just shocked he spent most of the night and early morning thinking without moving at all. He shook the thought and looked out the window again.

She sat there looking at him for a while. Debating whether or not to ask him something. Slowly she stood up and walked to the closet, chickening out yet again. She entered the closet and closed the door. Quickly she changed into the kimono again and walked out of it, fiddling with her hair as she did. She looked back at him. "Sadly... I think I have to go now.." She said, she was kind of sad she had to leave already. She didn't know when she'd get to see him again, which made her feel a little more sad.

He sighed sadly and walked over to her "Allow me to show you to the gate." He didnt know when he would see her again, if ever... It hurt him inside, but in a way he wasnt sure if it was bad or good.

"Ok...." She couldn't hide the sadness in her voice. "I'll be able to see you again... right..?" she asked, fearing the answer to it. Yet she hoped for a good answer with all her heart. Yes, they were technically enemies, but that wasn't how she wanted it.

He thought about this for a long time unsure of what to say. He never had guaranteed something he didnt know would happen, but this time he really hoped they would meet again. He would never say yes though only to hurt her if they didnt....So he knew his answer but his heart was faster than his brain. "Yes...." He said

"I look forward to it." She half smiled. Still unsure of it, even though she received the answer she wanted. "I uh... guess we should be going now huh...?" she asked, still saddened.

"Yeah...." He didnt move though he scratched the back of his head nervously. He didnt know what to say or do next.....

She didnt move either, except she looked to the ground. She let out a small sigh, the longer she was here the more she didn't want to leave. Though she knew she had to, and that is what got to her.

He walks out of his room with her behind him and leads her to the courtyard. "Well maybe if you want we can meet for a spar or something." He smiled. He wanted to see if he would stand up to the rest of the Akatsuki and since she was the strongest what better way to find out.

"When..?" She asked a little curious. "And where?" she added. If it was on Konoha ground, she would have to be in normal clothes. She could manage the change, but she had to be prepared for it. She was still saddened about leaving, but they were talking about their next meeting. That of which gave her hope.
